Over the last two months (May and June of '09), available single family homes have decreased by almost 2,000 units, available bank owned homes decreased from 4,464 to 1,893 units since May 1st. A decrease of 2,571 homes. With reduced Las Vegas inventory topping 17,240 in available homes, condominiums, high rise, multi-family buildings and land listings, the market reflects strong buying activity with 10,152 single family homes in Escrow, compared to 5,984 two months ago. In addition, there are almost 2,421 units of high-rise, condos, multi-family buildings and land listings in escrow, waiting to close. See statistics below.

The total residential inventory has dropped by 1,255 units since Sept. 15th. 2008. Available high rise condominiums have increased by 17%. However, the overall view of the Las Vegas housing market shows 19,951 available listings, and an additional 5,138 units being in Escrow, awaiting closing. There is definitely activity in the market. The total Single Family Home inventory has not changed much in volume since Sept. 1st. 2008. There are an additional 300 single family REO properties on the market now. Available high rise condominiums have increased by 33 units. However, the overall view of the Las Vegas housing market shows 21,206 listings, with 30% of them being in Escrow, and are awaiting closing. There is definitely activity in the market.
